My name is Alex Mocarski. I am an HR Data and AI Scientist at Intel Corporation, where I build AI-powered and scalable analytics solutions that help organizations better understand and manage their workforce. In parallel, I consult for small businesses, designing databases, custom software, and websites to support their operations and growth. My work blends data science, technology, and strategy to solve complex human capital challenges across organizations ranging from small businesses to enterprises with 85,000+ employees.
I grew up in Connecticut, raised by Polish immigrant parents who instilled a strong work ethic and a love for building things that last. Working in home remodeling for my father and later running my own window-cleaning business to fund college sparked my interest in the relationship between people, work, and organizational success. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations with a minor in Business from Cornell University (2023), where I competed as a Division I cross-country and track athlete, and a Master's Degree in Business Analytics from the University of Colorado Boulder (2024).
During my graduate studies, I led end-to-end data science projects, including workforce analytics, turnover prediction, and resume–job matching using various ML/AI techniques. At Intel, I expanded this work by developing LLM and RAG-powered tools for job architecture, skills alignment, and compensation benchmarking, as well as a rewards auditing application used by 80+ HR Business Partners that automates compensation reviews for 35,000+ employees.
Outside of work, I enjoy woodworking, photography, fly-fishing, ice hockey, distance running, cycling, and chess. I am fluent in English and Polish and conversational in French.
